The title, The Tender Land, refers to the orchestral suite by the great American composer, Aaron Copland. Appropriately, there is an echo of Copeland’s Americana-infused music that permeates this collection of work. The title further suggests a certain fragility of our eco-system which is mirrored in many of the drawings.

I felt that it was such a personal story and I somewhat doubted whether it would resonate universally. But it clearly touched a cord.
